About Convert.diy
Convert.diy is a free, privacy-first file converter. It exists because most “free” converters upload your personal photos to a server, slap on watermarks, or cap how many files you can convert.
We do it differently: every conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device. That means it’s genuinely private, works offline once loaded, and has no upload limits.
What you can convert
Convert.diy supports 40+ conversions across HEIC, PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG, ICO and PDF — from turning iPhone HEIC photos into JPGs, to shrinking images to WebP, to bundling photos into a PDF. Browse the full list of converters.
How it works
Modern browsers can decode and encode images natively and, with WebAssembly, run the same codecs that desktop apps use. Convert.diy wires those together so the heavy lifting happens on your machine, not ours.
